 Sunny Isles Beach Parks Information

After becoming a City in 1997, the City Commission of Sunny Isles Beach purchased land and allocated funds for developing City parks. Some of that land was right on the Atlantic Ocean where they created an oceanfront park

At this time there are seven parks planned for everyone to enjoy with 5 currently in use:

Heritage Park - 19200 Collins Avenue

Heritage Park is 4 acres planned as a multi-use facility with parking, government offices, and recreation at one location. The City is applying for a grant from the Florida Communities Trust to upgrade the facilities.

Town Center Park - 17200 Collins Avenue

The city park located at 172 Street and Collins Avenue is a 3-acre park located on the west side of Collins Avenue. Formerly a 1-story shopping mall, this property was donated to the city by a developer.

The Town Center Park includes a playground, fitness trail, and gazebo. Much of this property is state protected wetland area.
